The Symptoms

Often there will be no signs or symptoms that you may have chlamydia, however if there are symptoms, they usually show up two weeks after coming into contact with chlamydia.

These can be:

In women:

  • unusual vaginal discharge
  • pain and / or burning when peeing
  • pain during and / or after sex
  • irregular bleeding after sex or between periods
  • pain in the lower abdomen / pelvis

Even if you don’t notice any of these symptoms, it’s best to take a test, just to be sure!
